According to industry sources, director Buchi Babu Sana had reportedly tried to reach out to Janhvi after certain scenes involving her character drew criticism and were later removed from the film. However, Janhvi has not publicly confirmed any differences with the filmmaker.

While Peddi had a decent run in the domestic Telugu market, Janhvi has largely stayed away from discussing the film in interviews or media interactions over the past few months.

She indicated that she is interested in characters that offer more meaning and substance, rather than simply serving as glamorous additions to big-star projects.

Her comments have naturally led to speculation that she may become more selective about her upcoming films.
