Singer Rahul Sipligunj, known best for singing the Oscar-winning number Naatu Naatu from RRR, and winning Bigg Boss Telugu 3, is in legal trouble.
Reports state that he has been named along with 11 others in an FIR filed in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. A young woman filed a complaint alleging that she was threatened in a marriage dispute.
A TV9 Telugu report states that a young woman filed a complaint against Sipligunj, alleging that he is threatening her, along with 11 others. The complaint reportedly states that Karpurapu Rahul Reddy, listed as Sipligunj’s brother-in-law, introduced himself as his relative under the pretext of marriage. He later threatened to leak her private pictures and videos, she claimed. She also alleged that her honour and personal life were damaged.
It has also been alleged that Sipligunj threatened her and forced her to give a video statement, the contents of which are unknown. The police registered an FIR at the MVP police station in Visakhapatnam based on the woman’s complaint. A case has been filed under various BNS sections and the IT Act. In the complaint, it has been alleged that she was blackmailed, threatened and harassed. Sipligunj has not released a statement on the same.
MM Keeravaani composed the song, with Chandrabose providing the lyrics. Keeravaani’s son Kaala Bhairava was Sipligunj’s co-singer. The singer received a ₹1 crore cash reward from the government of Telangana for the win. In August 2025, he got engaged to Harinya Reddy in Hyderabad and the couple married in November.
Most recently, Sipligunj sang numerous songs for Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 and Mahesh Babu-starrer Guntur Kaaram.
